Thanksgiving in Page
We took a much needed trip up to Page for Thanksgiving. We got to Page early Tues morning & then the girls spent the day with Grandma while David & I went to St. George to see our friends the Eagers be sealed as a family. It was well worth all the driving. It was nice to go to my parents & just relax. It was unseasonably cold there so the girls didn't get as much outside time as I had hoped for but they enjoyed the cold.
Zhara loved eating the grapes from the neighbors yard...even though they were way over ripe
It did snow a bit while we were there so Zhara took the chance to catch the flakes!
Making pumpkin cake with Grandma....apparently it was a little loud for Lys
The LOVED the cream cheese icing
Thanksgiving day we did alot of cooking.....I think my attire is pretty awesome, actually it reminds me of how I never matched as a kid :)
I made homemade bread
The girls got lots of Daddy time. The favorite game was hide & seek

No Thanksgiving is complete without a puzzle
Playing in the leaves with Grandpa

Alyssa helped Grandma pick out the color of yarn for the towels & even got to help
For 2 days we basically just ate & sat on the couch watching football. I came around the corner & saw my parents getting the circulation going again
Saturday morning we rang the bells with Grandma
Although it was below freezing David was wearing his shorts, getting his "cold fix"
David enjoys doing yard work for my dad when he is there so he spent about 4 hours cleaning up the yard. The girls benefited from this too
A Visit from Grandpa Gould
David's dad came out to visit us in November. He went to work with David & met all of his agents & spent the rest of the time playing with this girls. We had such a great time with him!
This is how everyone really felt :)
but then they all smiled
How they love their Grandpa
Last Christmas we bought Grandpa a spider hand puppet because the "spider" a.k.a. his hand is always tickling the girls. He brought it with him & I heard Zhara say "this is the force field Grandpa you can't get us". When I look over I see them using his walker. Hilarious....until they knocked it over & bonked Grandpa on the head.

Halloween Festivities
Although Halloween was a month ago here are our Halloween Festivities:
Alyssa's playgroup from church went to an assisted living facility. The trick or treated, decorated cookies for themselves & the patients, sang songs & ate lunch

We went to turn in some books at the library & they were doing a sugar skull craft so the girls had a blast decorating!
Pumpkin carving time!

Alyssa knocked the bowl of slimy seeds all over the floor

Daddy really does all of the work

Zhara drew her own pattern for Dad to use

Zhara had a Fall Festival at school. Alyssa got her face painted
Zhara tried for a hole in one
My cat who doesn't smile (because Mom cats don't smile) and my princess
Cake walk
Train ride
Bounce house
Mom volunteered
Obstacle course

The night before Halloween we had Trunk or Treat at church. Our friends the Krainocks came down & the girls enjoyed getting candy with Addie
Not sure how the picture of David didn't load but his costume was by far the best :) We had a cat, a princess, a cupcake fairy, a farmer girl & a pirate with the largest fro ever. Almost a month later Alyssa's class went for a walk & she came back with "Daddy I found your comb" which was a purple pick that was a part of his hair
They paraded around the parking lot
