Spring Break

David had a conference in LA March 21 & 22....just so happened to be the girls spring break so we tagged along with him. While he was in meetings all day I took the girls to Downtown Disney & we enjoyed lunch at the Rainforest CafeHaleigh kept pointing to the monkey above our tableShe was a little scared when the thunderstorm came but she enjoyed all the movement around herThe girls enjoyed coloring....Alyssa wasn't a fan of the rain storm eitherThen we had a little ice cream

I was surprised at how well Haleigh did when we hung out at the hotel. She enjoyed just walking around. Her favorite was the mirrored closet doors which she would dance in front of & sing. She also enjoyed the bathroom

and the drawers

After David's meetings we headed down to San Diego & got an amazing hotel off price line...this was our view from our room. We actually saw 2 sea lions just playing around in the water

Poor Haleigh got a gash on her face....thanks to her sister

Keep in mind this was a working vacation.......

Haleigh's first time at the beach...not in a car seat or in someones arms. She really enjoyed the sand

the water, however was a bit cold for her & did not make her happy when she felt it on her feet

this is what life really is about, not where you work or where you live or how much money you make....it's about your family & the memories that we make together in this life

which means we should take joy in our journey....where ever that journey may lead us it will be together

Spring Begins

Although most of our winter felt like spring for most people a few weeks ago it was finally time to plant some spring flowers. Haleigh really wanted to just pick the pretty flowers off

Even the missionaries got their own plants

Along with spring come the March of Dimes. David had put on a bowling tournament during his time as a DM. We always have alot of fun...although this time was a bit challenging without grandpa & grandma to help with the kids.....

Especially this curious cat

The girls helped out with the raffle drawings

enjoying lunch with their new ladybug picnic table

Oh Haleigh

Haleigh is growing...a little too quickly if you ask me. These pictures capture some moments that make me smile. With two big sisters she made her way to the top of the McDonalds play thing....and went down the 3 story slide with Zhara. She thought it was awesome....I thought it was kind of gross I call her the "destroyer" She is always taking things out of drawers & then once she cleans it out she moves on to something else. Her favorite place to be is my Tupperware cabinet. She cleans it out onto the kitchen floor so that she can climb in

This girl loves her pasta. She will shovel Mac n Cheese like she hasn't eaten for a weekShe also enjoys poptarts....I don't really enjoy it being in her hair

She found a chair just her size

And did I mention she also enjoys my food pantry.....apparently the marshmallow bag was not closed very well

We love our Haleigh Pearl & the light she brings to our lives

Mt. Lemmon

Zhara has been asking to drive up Mt. Lemmon for over a year & finally on Feb 25th we took the afternoon to drive up to Mt. Lemmon. It takes about an hour but we checked out the small ski town that was destroyed by fire about 8 years ago. They have since rebuilt but it was interesting to see pictures & read about their stories. We packed a lunch....everyone was having a good time...despite the look on Alyssa's face took a small hike

and took pictures of everyone in the family at the top

Haleigh had no fear & loved crawling all over the rocks

We found some snow to play in

David & Zhara has a snow ball fight

Haleigh touched snow for the very first time

Alyssa got nailed with a snow ball

On the way back down to Tucson the girls & David took another small hike
