No more tonsils

Since Dec 2009 Zhara has gotten strep throat every 6 weeks. They tried every nasty medicine they could find but it would still come back. The strange thing was every time they would test her the doctor would be surprised that she had strep because she didn't have the "normal" symptoms. So in May we finally got to see an ENT, who happens to in our ward at church & they scheduled her surgery for July. She looked so cute & so small in her gown waiting for them to take her away

The Dr came & told her some funny jokes & she was all giggles. It was hard on mom's heart to watch my little Zhara be taken away by strange people to be put to sleep

but she did great. We were amazed at how fast it went by the time they took her back to put her to sleep & then came & told us she was done it was like 15 minutes. When she woke up she looked like a deer in headlights

but then she was all smiles after the blue Popsicle

She had an amazing recovery. The medicine they gave her made her very nervous so we stopped giving it to her. It is amazing how much healthier she has been since & she doesn't snore at night anymore. I was so proud of the way that knew that she was going to be okay...when I was her age I would have freaked out leaving my mom but Zhara was such an example of knowing that Heavenly Father would watch over her & keep her safe.
