David's grandmother passed away in May and so we packed up the car dropped the two little ones off at my moms house for 3 days and drove out to Utah. It was a bit crazy on Friday May 3rd my parents came down for Alyssa's first piano recital,on Sunday we drove 7 hours to Page, left Monday to finish 7 more hours to Utah, attended the funeral on Tues and drove all the way home on Wed to make it back to school and work Thurs morning and Alyssa' birthday on Saturday. It was such a wonderful experience to be able to celebrate such a wonderful woman. We were afraid to let the girls see her during the viewing but Grandma Sherry took them in and it was a beautiful moment. We will miss Grandma T but we know that she completed her mission in this earth and she was met with "well done thou good and faithful servant"
On our way to Utah on Monday we took the older girls for some sight seeing on our drive. We had a great time!

The plan while we were gone was that my mom would take Monday off from work and go in late on Tues so that my dad wouldn't have to handle the little ones all by himself....since he hasn't changed a diaper since my sister was a baby. Well....best laid plans....my mom got sick when we left on Monday. Not only did my Father take care of his really sick wife but he was "mom" for 3 days to my 2 year old and 11 month old. And Charlotte ended up having a double ear infection during that time. I know my dad was worn out when we came back on Wed but the bond that he has with Charlotte and Haleigh is beautiful and I hope he thinks it was worth it.....although I don't think he will volunteer to do that again any time soon.
