4th of July

We spent the 4th of July in Page. We left the morning of the 4th at like 4 am and got there right before the parade started.

The fire trucks started the parade out. Usually they are running their sirens but this year just a few days before 19 fire fighters were killed in Prescott and so they rode in silence with all the victims names on the side of the trucks.

As usual Grandpa took Charlotte out of the sun (AND away from the crowd...is that for her or him???)

Zhara wanted to spend the 4th in Page because of the parade. She loves that they throw out stuffed animals each year. This year she came home with a bear the size of Haleigh. I'm still trying to find a way to secretly get rid of it...............

 It was slightly hot outside.
The girls gave money to the fallen fire fighters families...in the boots
We enjoy walking around gathering up free stuff at the event in the park after the parade.
This year there was a band from Phoenix who performed before the fireworks.
Then we waited for the fireworks

While we were waiting the girls had glow necklaces and Alyssa was swinging hers around after watching David move his super fast to make some weird noise....only Alyssa's wacked David smack in the middle of his eyeball, which caused him to have a black line in his eye for about a week. She went over and sat by herself and when I went to talk to her she said something about how Dad will hate her because she made him blind. It was kind of sad because she was really worried that he would hate her forever
The firework show was amazing as always!!!
