th Zhara had a field trip to the Challenger Space Center in Phoenix. It started out with a 45 min bus ride.
Zhara was so excited to have her "first bus ride".

They
separated each class. We started learning about electricity.
Zhara loved the cool glasses that we wore to see the spectrum of light
Zhara was
chosen to put her hand on this ball & when he turned machine on (it sounded like a
vacuum) her hair stood up. She was holding onto
Donavan's hand & his hair stood up too.

This is the replica of the Challenger space shuttle

The official artist for NASA lives in Phoenix & he painted this amazing mural in the middle of the space center

My favorite part of the liquid nitrogen. They did all these cool things with it. They dumped it on the ground & it disappeared. They put an onion in it & then hit it with a hammer & it shattered. They blew up a balloon & stuck it in the nitrogen & it flatten out, then they pulled it out into the air & it blew up again. The kids loved it!

You know that the artists is an Arizonian because he pictures
cactus in space!!

Her hair is so long and she looks so grown up in the uniform.
