Other February Happenings

For weeks before Haleigh was born Alyssa had been talking about "Muffins with Mom". They were practicing songs & she was so excited for me to come for the day. I told the mom's on Valentines day that I hope if I had Haleigh that I would have her either in time to go to the party or that she would wait until it was done because I would be so sad to miss it. Well Haleigh was born Wed morning & the party was Friday so even though I shouldn't have been out of the house I went. I was running late & when I walked through the door Alyssa's face made it all worth it. She sang beautiful songs about mom

gave me flowers

made me gifts

Here I am 2 days after giving birth...still looking pregnant :)

A week later we took Haleigh on her first outing to the Rodeo Carnival....Grandpa was in charge of the stroller

This is Zhara riding by herself on the kid "roller coaster" after riding the slow moving kid train by herself.

This was her after she was crying & screaming the entire time that she wanted to get off. Funny enough at the end they wanted to ride one more ride & David said they could if she would ride the roller coaster (thinking she wouldn't) and she did, only this time she rode with Alyssa & it was so cute to see Alyssa put her arm around Zhara the whole time

This slide was the hit of the night I think they went down it at least 20 times

Zhara had a field trip that I had said I would chaperon but Haleigh was only 2 weeks old & I didn't think taking a trip to the Desert Museum with a bunch of kids with a newborn was a good idea so my sweet mother took my place & was the chaperon

Wow February was a very busy but wonderful month for us!
