We decided to spend our holiday weekend the same we have this whole year...Lego Land!!! We thought it would be just like when we went during Memorial Day weekend...slow...why would it be any different? Well we were VERY wrong. It was a busy as I have ever seen it but we were still excited to be there
Mostly it was the same as always..riding the same rides and enjoying our time together. The only excitement was....well I went back to the car shortly after we arrived to change my shirt and David took all four girls and was going to find lunch and I would meet them there. As I was walking back he called me and I assumed that he was telling me where to meet him. I did not expect this conversation:
"I lost Haleigh" "you what?" "Haleigh I can't find her" He hung up as he was telling someone she was gone and then called me back "what was she wearing?" My heart dropped as I started running through the park to find them. As I was running he called again "they found her and she is at the race track" I am sure I looked like a crazy woman...mostly because the girls told me that as I was running by them I looked funny as my shirt was bouncing in the air. There she was with this sweet pregnant woman kneeling beside her. Both of them were crying and I was crying as held her in my arms. Later she would tell the story like this "I got lost at Legoland. I was crying Daddy daddy waah waah and then this lady came and asked me my name" It was scary but all the time as I was praying and David was praying we felt like she was okay we just needed to find her. Another interesting thing was that a few days before we left I had a thought that I needed to talk to the girls about what to do when things in life are scary. I was going to talk to them about how you just stop and pray. When I got back to the other girls, who were waiting with Charlotte, Alyssa and Zhara both said they knew it was going to be okay because they prayed. How grateful I am for their sweet spirits and their trust in the Lord. This was our lunch after we were reunited.
Charlotte gave it up and Dad looks like he was a bit worn out himself
On Sunday we drove up after church to visit the Aunts. As always we had a fun time...even if Charlotte doesn't look like it
Monday we headed back for more fun....hoping to keep all the kids with us this time
We ended the day with a new ride we discovered. As always we had a great time!
